My dearest Lenard:

Just think of me, this evening being hear, alone, mother and father and sister Emily and hear husband, as gone to the Westchester to see Buddie's--and I am hear alone, thinking of you, dear heart. I said to myself when they were going out, of the front door, I only wished Lenard, was coming down this evening. How I would carress, you dear, because you no, our love for me, to carress, you dear. But my heart, feels very lonesome, this eve. But what, can I do dear, because you are, so far from my sweetheart.

Each day seems to get more lonesome. But Lenard, I feel, terrible lonesome for you dear, and you know it. Did you come down, on Friday for your car, because I was out, seeing about a few things, what I told you about. But I am soary dear, if you was, if I wasn't home, because I am always, glad to see you. I have the victrola on the table, where I had it last night, when you came in, playing it, and writing your letter, what I promised you, dear, but I would never neglect, you if I can help it. But Lenard dear, at times you make me happy--I hope Len, you arrived, home safe last evening, and also made your train, dear heart, after when I went home, I went to bed, and stayed in my room, until five minutes to twelve, and got in bed, at twenty-five after I hopped in bed, and layed there, thinking of you dear heart.

At this minute, I am thinking I am looking in your blue eyes, and so on, so forth.

I hope dear, you are thinking as much asbout me, as what I am thinking about, you, dear. I suppose you are playing the victrola, this evening just about the same thing what I am doing. Can you imagine me, being hear alone, what I would never do before. Well dear, I will try and forget, about it, and I will live, in hopes, to see you early Saturday, dear heart.

Well sweetheart, I shall come, to a close, and will start, and retire, for the night nothing to stay up for Lenard, so good night Lenard dear sweet-heart sweet kisses, honey bunch.

Love,
Alice____.
