"My dearest Leonard: Being hear alone today, feel very blue as it is a very unsettled day, and this weather is very unsettled and it is going to rain. Eilz, is out today. So you see dear, I am alone.

Thinking of my lonesome boy. I am off on Friday, June 2, so I am going to NY and buy so lovely underwear. I am getting my oak chest ready for you now, as long as you want me to be your wife. I might as well start it, so I shall always have them layed aside. I stay in the evening and sew.

I made a beauty nightgown. Leonard it's beautiful. But it will not be beautiful long * * * * Mrs. Alderson as made me a present of a whole set of white silk.

But is is handsome, I feel I would never want to wear it, but it feels so soft, and nice aside of your skin, and tempting you, insant Len.

But I hope it does, so you will feel much happier when we were alone. I am going to have a handsome oak chest, twelve pieces, of everything. So I will look nice for you. As I no you will like me to look nice when I am always going to be around you. I hope you will got out of the habit of * * * * then you can cuddle along side of me then every night, if you promise me that.

I hope you will write me something nice like this interesting what I am writing in this letter. But the time seems as though it shall never come, because I want it to come soon. Have you any idea, when you will start for home. Also Leonard, write my mail to Alderson yet until I get up to Lake Placid, then I will wire you from up there.

I do not think, we will go now, before the 15th of the month. I had the film developed, the picture what you took of me at Hotel Antoinette. . . it looks very interesting to the eyes. But I think you have one of them. So dearest please send me some of yours, as I am writing to fill my album with pitures. Am very glad to hear your pal is getting on very nicely. Well dearie, I am coming to a close, as I have to but, shall write this Evening. I was home last night, spent night, and papa brought me over in the car today, and they both wanted to be remembered.

With heaps of love, dear now, and forever. ALICE.
